Western Undergraduate Exchange Scholarship

Scholarship Description
The UNLV Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) scholarship may be offered to students from the most recent high school graduating class residing in one of the following states: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington or Wyoming. The WUE program is highly competitive. Awards offered to the entering UNLV freshmen class may vary each year based upon the number of graduating college seniors and currently enrolled students who are unable to meet the renewal criteria. Students from the most recent graduating high school class, who demonstrate the strongest academic qualifications and entering UNLV for the upcoming fall semester are considered for this scholarship. Students must have a minimum weighted 3.0 cumulative high school grade point average within required core classes and must also have one of the following: 3.25 overall high school grade point average, or 24 ACT score, or 1,100 SAT score combined critical reading and math. There is no application. The Financial Aid & Scholarships Office will review high school transcripts and test scores from the Admission s Office for students who were admitted to UNLV by February 1st for the upcoming school year. Students who reflect the highest academic ability will be considered for WUE.

Non-resident students are charged 150% of the in-state tuition rate. This is a tuition savings of several thousand dollars per year over the non-resident rate.
