The Sam Schmidt Paralysis Foundation established a scholarship for students with spinal cord injures in 2007 with a $10,000 donation to the Thomas Edison State College Foundation. This scholarship and all funds is directed and intended for students enrolled at Thomas Edison State College with spinal cord injuries.

This scholarship and all funds is directed and intended for students enrolled at Thomas Edison State College with spinal cord injuries. Applicants must be new or continuing students pursuing a minimum of 6 credits in an undergraduate degree program at Thomas Edison State College.
Funds received must be applied to textbooks, fees or tuition toward any credit-earning option offered at Thomas Edison State College.
