Program/Area: Educational Equity Programs and Services Specialty: EEPS General Available To Level: High School, Undergraduate Available To Citizenship: US Citizen, Oregon Resident, Permanent Resident Number of Awards: Varies Amount: Partial to full resident instructional fees Renewable: Yes (yes( if all criteria are met), for up to three years or 9 terms. This is a PSU Recogntion Scholarship.) Scholarship Year: 0910 Available: September 30 Deadline: February 1 Criteria: This scholarship is available to High School, GED, and College students with less than 30 credits. A specific goal of the Diversity Recognition Scholarship is to expand and enrich Portland State's learning environment by recognizing and supporting outstanding students from many cultures, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds, and with diverse talents, interests, and life experiences. For the freshman award, graduating high school seniors and others with less than 30 college credits must meet regular admissions requirements and hold U.S. citizenship or permanent residency status. Priority to students who are Oregon residents, have financial need as defined by federal guidelines, are first generation college students, and who will contribute to the campus diversity goals. Each scholarship provides partial to full remission of instructional fees for three to 15 terms for students maintaining a 2.5+ GPA for scholarship and meet all other program requirements.. Students are provided with academic support services and are required to complete at least 12 credits per term and maintain a 2.50+ college GPA.
