Scholarship Description
Recipient (s): One Amount: $500 Class Standing: Open Army Spec. Doron Chan, 20, of Highland, N.Y. died on March 18th, 2004 near Balad, Iraq, when his convoy vehicle was cut off by a civilian vehicle, causing his vehicle to swerve and flip over. Doron was an engineering major at SUNY New Paltz. Through the generosity of the New Paltz community, family and friends of Doron Chan, the SUNY New Paltz Foundation established a scholarship fund in Doron’s memory. Selection Criteria: A. First preference will be given to an Asian student B. Full-time matriculated student at SUNY New Paltz C. Minimum GPA of 3.0
