Cornelius Vanderbilt Scholarship Program

Scholarship Description
Cornelius Vanderbilt Scholars receive full tuition, plus a stipend to be used towards a summer study abroad or research experience following sophomore or junior year. Scholarships are renewed each year as long as the recipient maintains at least a 3.0 GPA. Cornelius Vanderbilt Scholars participate in several special programs coordinated by the Office of Undergraduate Honor Scholarships throughout the academic year. Application and Selection To be considered for the Cornelius Vanderbilt Scholarship, students must submit Parts I and IIA of the Vanderbilt Scholarship Application. Cornelius Vanderbilt Scholars are selected on the basis of academic achievement, leadership and contribution outside the classroom, and intellectual promise. In evaluating candidates, the selection committee will review the entire application for freshman admission along with the Cornelius Vanderbilt Scholarship application. Many of the Cornelius Vanderbilt Scholarships also require an on-campus interview with faculty. See website for deadline information.
