Knop Scholarship

Scholarship Description
(one full-tuition scholarship) The Knop Scholars Program was established through a $2.2 million bequest from Harry W. Knop Jr., a 1942 graduate of Ripon College, who discovered an appreciation for the universe and its workings in physics and mathematics. In addition to recognizing and supporting students who plan to major in the field of natural science or mathematics, the Knop Scholars Program supports student and adviser summer research and students’ off-campus educational opportunities. The Knop Scholarship requires a minimum high school grade point average of 3.8, rank in top 5% of class, a letter of recommendation from high school teacher, and a thorough review of academic credentials and community service activities. In addition, it requires participation in Scholarship Day. Renewable: student must maintain enrollment as a full-time student majoring in natural science or mathematics, a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and satisfactory progress toward a four-year degree as published in the Ripon College.
